POLICIES & PROCEDURES
You must be at least 21 years of age to order and/or receive alcoholic beverages.
For all in stock items you wish shipped or picked-up, please allow 72 hours for us to gather your wines.
Our website updates quantities every day however, hard-to-find and highly-sought-after wines can sell out quickly. Once we have received your initial order, we will contact you as quickly as possible if there is an issue. We have a 5% restocking fee once your order is processed and then you cancel the order- this covers our fees of processing the sale and refunding the credit card.
Primo Vino can only ship to states where it is legal to ship alcoholic beverages. If a customer lives in a state in which it is not legal to ship alcoholic beverages, the customer would need to provide an alternative shipping address, which could be in a legal receiving state, or the address of a "third party" storage facility.
For additional information on which states we can or cannot ship to, please contact us at Brad@PrimoVino.net or by calling 303-273-WINE (9463).
When you view your shopping cart and fill out the order request form, you will notice that the shipping field will remain blank. The actual shipping charges can only be accurately calculated when the quantity of bottles, method of shipping and insurance are factored in. For this reason, we can only approximate shipping charges based on the formula that one case will cost from $20-$35 to ship ground, $45-65 to ship 2nd day air and $75-$95 to ship overnight, depending in which state you are located. There will also be an additional charge for your styrofoam shipper. Shipping is based on weight and volume, so the rate for 6 bottles, for instance, is not significantly less than the rate for a case.
It is very important to consider the temperatures when shipping wine. We do not advise shipping wines during the warmer months. If for some reason you really want to take delivery in the middle of the summer we recommend 2 day or overnight shipping. This is the safest way to guarantee the least exposure to warm temperatures. But there is always some risk involved and we cannot take responsibility for heat damage over the summer months. Please consider holding your wines till the weather is more appropriate for transit. Please specify HOLD UNTIL [DATE] in your order notes, and contact us either by email or phone to prompt for shipment.
Also, when shipping via ground service there is always risk with weather and time. Any ground shipments to the coast will take 3 to 4 days to arrive. If your wines are shipped on a Monday they should arrive by Friday. For this reason Primo Vino ships all orders to be delivered by ground service on Monday, in order to avoid weekend delays. Please consider this when choosing ground as your method of shipment.
We will not be responsible for any wines damaged by weather once they have left our warehouse. It is up to you, the customer, to make the appropriate shipping arrangements.
We courteously expect you to take delivery of your wines as soon as possible, as we have limited warehouse space. Recognizing that temperature and other factors may come into play; Primo Vino will happily store your wine in temperature controlled environment.
